Jasemin Khaleli is a research fellow at the MMRC and works as part of the research project Klingender Gemeindebau, carried out by MMRC together with wohnpartner, the Phonogrammarchiv of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the tenants' association of Anton-Figl-Hof, and Wiener Wohnen.

She holds a MA in Musicology at the University of Vienna (2020) and a B.A. in Visual Arts, Music and Modern Media studies: Organization and Presentation at the Philipps-University of Marburg (2016). With an interest in queer methodologies, the constructions of social identities and the dancing body, she conducted ethnographic work in Lisbon and completed her master with a study on Lisbon’s queer-feminist EDM scene between precarisation and selfempowerment. She has joined the research team of the project Sounds of Tourism at the Nova University of Lisbon and has received grants by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the ÖH University of Vienna. Examining the intersections between critical thought and artistic practice, Jasemin Khaleli is currently expanding her studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
